DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Anaheim Resort/Convention Center in Anaheim, CA

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Disneyland. Excellent suite, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Easy walking distance to Disneyland so we could leave the car parked for a couple of days. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Would definitely stay again.

I booked a last minute getaway to Disneyland, and my regular hotel was booked solid. The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Anaheim Resort had rooms for a reasonable price, so I decided to take a gamble. It wasn't terrible, but I would not choose this hotel again unless better options were unavailable. It was fine for a two night stay, though. THE GOOD: * Location. It's easily walkable to Disneyland in less than 20 minutes (allow 30 if you're particularly slow). The sidewalks are wide, flat, and the area is safe. * Free cookies! You get free chocolate chip cookies at check-in, and they're warm and delicious. One caveat: they include nuts, not fun if you're allergic. * Sometimes cheap rates. When there's not a convention in town, you can expect to pay far less for your room! * There's a gift shop in the lobby that sells Disney merchandise (at marked-up prices, but not as bad as what you'd pay in the theme parks), as well as a coffee bar that has Starbucks branded beverages and snacks. You are able to use any and all food credits / coupons here, which was nice. THE BAD: * Parking is an additional $30 per day, which is ridiculous but unfortunately the norm at Anaheim hotels nowadays. The lot is large and uncovered, and it was more than half empty during our stay. * The rooms are very old, tired, and outdated. It's well past time for a renovation. The furniture is well worn, and the carpet feels very dirty. * No acknowledgement nor thank you for being a loyal Hilton Diamond Member. It's a little thing that means so much. Also, no upgraded room was offered which is always a serious bummer. * Unhappy staff? The staff members we encountered, from housekeeping to the front desk to security to the lobby coffee bar all seemed very surly and bummed out most of the time. Wish we'd been met with more smiles than scowls. This is not one of the better hotels in the area, but if you have low expectations then you may be pleasantly surprised. I really hope Hilton will be planning for a refresh and renovation of this property soon, because it feels like a lower quality Crowne Plaza and not a comfortable Doubletree.

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton in Anaheim for our Disneyland trip, and overall, it was a great experience! The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Toy Story Parking Lot, where you can hop on the free shuttle to the parks. It’s also close to plenty of restaurants, and Downtown Disney is just a quick Uber ride away. Upon check-in, we were welcomed with the signature warm cookies, which was a nice touch. Our suite was spacious and worked well for our group of four adults, with two queen beds and a sofa bed in the living room. We really appreciated the convenience of having a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and two TVs—perfect for when we wanted to watch different shows! The main downside was the comfort of the beds and pillows, which could have been better, and the furniture in the suite felt a bit worn. While everything was clean, some of the cushions and upholstery could use a refresh. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for its prime location and value, especially for families visiting Disneyland. A little update to the furnishings would make it even better!

We had a long wait to be checked in to our room but the staff were very apologetic and said it was because we had requested a special room, when we got in it was a disabled room which we hadn’t requested. This was the only minor issue though. The room was clean and the hot tub is amazing and open until 10pm, we watched the Disney fireworks from the hot tub with our little boy on our last night. There is an Italian restaurant downstairs which employs the BEST waiter I’ve ever met- Miguel. He is the nicest person and he went out of his way for us repeatedly. Our little boy adored him. He is so funny and kind. The food was great too. It is only a mile from Disney which is perfect. There’s a little arcade, gift shop and cafe downstairs, big swimming pool which is heated and the staff gave us some free arcade tokens to make up for our wait for the room which we used on the claw machines and won 4 squishmallows. Would come here again.

The hotel is definitely dated. The beds were lumpy. The TV worked off and on (no picture but had sound). The mini fridge even on the coldest setting didn't get below mid 40s kept usually around 50. little to no water pressure and fruit flies glore. Killed probably 10-15 each morning. Definitely not what I'm accustomed to from a double tree.
