DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls New York in Niagara Falls, NY

Spent one Saturday night at Doubletree. The food at the Parkway restaurant was excellent. Caesar grilled chicken and burger. French fries amazing too. Fresh hot food. As a Diamond member, I received a food credit 15 each for myself and my guest. Plus two drink tickets. Upgrade was available and the room with the river view was spacious and of course a great view. From the front desk to those working in the restaurant..everyone was very welcoming. Will definitely stay here again.

Only stayed for one night to enable visit to Niagara Falls. On arrival staff very friendly and helpful. Room adequate. Clean and tidy. Toiletries provided. Hot drink making facilities available. We had river view room which was beautiful in the day . Ample parking easy to find . Bonus was the fresh warm cookies provided on arrival and departure.

My 14 Year old son had a hockey tournament in Niagara. And as a traveling Hockey family I also get nervous where we are being put to stay. (We don’t get a choice) But The Double Tree at Niagara was clean, quiet (especially when you have several hockey teams there) if we needed something they got it for us right away. The restaurant was very good and quick service and accommodating for our large group. Angela in the bar was also so wonderful and quick and every time we went down there she remembered what our drinks were. She was also very friendly. Loved her!! Kevin at the front desk was also great. He made sure we had what we needed and helped with suggestions for our boys so they could still have fun and not disturb anyone else. If we ever get a chance to go to another tournament here again I will demand we get this hotel. We may even try and go back for vacation. -Angie

I called the last minute to use points for a 2 night stay to show a friend the falls, which she had not seen. We arrived the hotel was inviting, check-in (Mizbah), pleasant and friendly. Then we arrived at our room, obviously not the one I booked, MUCH Better, large (huge), river view of rapids, obvious upgraded. Then we went to the bar for our welcome cocktail. The bar was very contemporary, Lucian the bartender was welcoming, friendly, great service! Excellent upsale skills without pressure!!! He explained the menu both bar and food, food was great. He and Hannah the hostess were AWESOME!

At first our experience was wonderful and we were so happy we chose DoubleTree as we have stayed in many DoubleTrees before. Josh and Sara were so welcoming when we arrived Sunday evening after the football game. The bartender Sunday evening was not to par when we came down for a night cap he was sort of busy but being in the industry myself I noticed he just didn’t have a flow and he was running low on things he should have already been stocked on before starting his shift. The room was great and we had a great view. When we booked over the phone we had requested a river view but upon check-in we realized we were not and Josh was great to accommodate our request. When checking out we noticed the bill was $25 more than our confirmation receipt. $15 for parking which we were not told there was a fee we were just asked if we had a car and then we were given a card to put in the car. Maybe our fault for not reading the card but we just ran out and put it on our dash since it was pouring rain. The other $10 was for a destination fee. This wouldn’t have been a problem but it wasn’t on our confirmation receipt so we were upset. The card used was also not the card we had given them over the phone they used the card we put on file for any additional charges. When we asked the front desk about these charges and complained about them they said there wasn’t anything they could do. We started to walk away and the one said to the other “Well they already got a military rate so don’t worry about it”. I was APPALLED in her tone!!!! How dare she act like us using our military privileges as a way to not accommodate our concerns! I turned around and said of course we got a military rate my husband is active duty there’s no reason that is an excuse to not worry about it! I then said I would be changing my review and we’d never stay at a Double Tree again. I’m pretty sure my husband didn’t serve 1.5 years in Afghanistan and the other 13.5 years he’s dedicated to this country to hear remarks like that!
