We stayed at this Doubletree for its proximity to the Universal Studios Parks. There is a shuttle that will take you to Universal and pick you up at scheduled times or the walk is maybe a half mile to the entrance. Then more walking to the parks but still very doable. There is a walkway over the highway so no worries about crossing a busy road. There is a desk for Universal across from the check-in area in the lobby where you can obtain information and tickets from the congenial people there. We found it to be a very nice hotel. Very friendly customer service. No free food except for the delicious cookies that they give you at check-in and if you are lucky, other times as well! We ate breakfast at the Sunshine Cafe which is located in the hotel across the courtyard from the main lobby. There is a buffet which has a good variety of choices and you can have an omelette made for you if you wish. There is also a menu you can order from. The best part of breakfast there for us was the servers, Vinnie and Danny. We requested them every day because either one of them gave us the best service and we just enjoyed interacting with them. They really made the start of our days there special! There is also a Starbucks and a pizza cafe next to the Sunshine Cafe. A grille is open after 6 next to the lobby. You will find delicious food at all of these places! Our room was clean and comfortable too. All in all a great stay. We hope to return one day!

So friendly at the front desk and when they gave me a room across from the elevator, I asked to have it moved and they sent somebody Carlos Silva, to assist me and brought me a key to the new room, brought my luggage to the new room and then assisted with filling my ice bucket so that I can have a great night Very impressed Carlos was very sweet and professional

Carlos my bellman was amazing! So professional and kind. Took my bags from my car to my room as I self parked my car. This was extremely helpful. The front desk provided warm cookies which is such a nice touch. So far the trip is off to a great start!!

Room 1622, 4 nights. The good: Clean room, excellent pillows and bed, WiFi worked flawlessly, very quiet room, nice view, friendly and supportive front desk staff. The bad: Low pressure shower, old standard small toilet, not many toiletries, only 2 elevators at the south tower in operation, AC unit in room was quirky - had to keep it at 77 to feel like 72. Spoke with other colleagues,all encountered same issues. Overall a nice property with plenty of common space and eateries but room bathroom needs updating.
