First time staying at this Disney Resort and we had a lovely holiday. The hotel theming is fantastic, we walked right around the resort a couple of times. My son loved the RC racer car he could sit in and have a photo taken to bring home. Bonus it had a little play park on site. The food can be quite repetitive but we tried lots of different options so didnt worry too much about that. We had the dining plan so all meals were covered. Pizza was lovely as were the breakfasts. We used the dining plan for take out food also which was fab. Rooms were cleaned every other day and soap/coffee etc all restocked. All of the staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again.

Was told we had a premier room. It was so plain and tiny I’d hate to see what they call a regular room. Outdated worn out feeling and paper thin walls so I could hear the kids next door screaming all night. When we arrived we said we wanted to stash our bags and get right to the park but they insisted our room was ready yet took 45 minutes to program our cards etc. the sign in the room said housekeeping came every other day yet they still didn’t come and I had to call for towels and coffee. The blankets were like thin towels. The main pool was under construction. Very disappointed

"Not terrible, but never again."

Trying to save a few dollars on a recent short Disney trip, my family booked a room at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. Overall, it wasn't terrible. We booked a Preferred room and ended up in Fantasia building 8 on the second floor. The theming was good, but the jack in the box outside the building was a little creepy. Check in took forever, as the app wasn't letting us check in online, so we had to wait for a Cast Member to assist us. Even after midnight, it was still a LONG line, but they had numerous Cast Members working to help guests. The main pool was closed for refurbishment, but we wouldn't have had time to swim anyway. The resort offered busses to the other All-Star resorts to use their pools if we would have wanted to swim. The food court was clean and well staffed, and the gift shop had a nice selection of items to purchase. The room is a different matter completely. Our phone didn't work correctly, so we had to have it noted. (didn't notice until the night before checkout and it wasn't worth the effort then) The room itself was TINY. We traveled as a family of three and, with the Murphy bed down, there was little room to move around. There are no closets in the room, just a small alcove in the sink area with a rod to hang a couple items. There is an ironing board, though, and a hair dryer. Our shower was alright, but you had to turn it all the way to hot to get it at a decent temperature. The mounted bottles with shampoo and conditioner only gave a little at each pump, so if you have longer hair, you're pumping a while. The body wash pump barely worked, as when you'd pump it, all the liquid would ooze out the bottom of the cap and not come out of the pump itself. The bed was not comfortable for us. The air conditioner turned off overnight all three nights we were there, leaving us sweating in bed. The walls are paper thin and, even without my hearing aids in, I was able to understand entire conversations taking place in neighboring rooms. (my hearing husband and son complained about the thin walls as well) We will not stay there again, but we will definitely be back at Disney again. The cast members were great, but the accommodations aren't what we were used to. Moral of the story is that if you can afford to stay moderate or deluxe, do so! If you're only there for a head and a bed, this could work for your needs.
