Wow! From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with warm welcomes from the helpful staff. The room on the 68th floor was spectacular with views of the river and Canada. The area around this location is full of fun eating spots and places to stretch your legs. Thank you for a great stay.

"Beautiful Views and Comfortable Stay, but Layout is a Challenge"

In town for a family wedding, we stayed at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Having been familiar with this hotel over the years, I noticed some slight upgrades, but the experience remained mostly consistent. Pros: Check-in service was smooth and efficient, with friendly staff who made the process easy. The views are spectacular! Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the Detroit River and Windsor, Ontario. The room itself was comfortable and met my general expectations for a relaxing stay. On the morning of check-out, we had breakfast at Fuell Restaurant. They offered an excellent selection, and the service from Terra was top-notch, making it a perfect way to start the day. Cons: The layout of the hotel is confusing. Registration is located on the second level, and getting to your room involves navigating multiple elevators, which can feel like a maze, especially for newcomers. Overall, while the location is ideal and the views make it memorable, the hotel layout could benefit from some reconfiguration. For anyone visiting for the first time, a bit of patience is recommended. Despite the minor drawbacks, we appreciated the attentive service and amenities. Recommended.

A huge THANK YOU to, Ms. Collette, your warm welcome, hotel knowledge and genuine care was the best I’ve seen as a Titanium Member. Ms.Jackie's management and service in the breakfast lounge was impeccable. The good was good, lounge was clean and fully stocked, but most of all , Ms. Jackie was kind! Ms.Latoya , best concierge ever! Thanks for all the tips on things to explore in the city. As an awardee at the WOO in 2024, the hotel was the perfect host with those ladies on staff. My husband and I had the perfect room, incredible views and the best service anyone could ask for! The hotel and accommodations were sooo nice. But with the service it would have just been just a nice stay. Thank you Ladies! Ms. Colette, Ms. Latoya, Ms. Jackie for making our stay an AWESOME stay! We had the best time❣️

This is clearly a volume hotel with a mission of filling rooms. With somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,500 rooms…once you’re checked in, you’re basically on your own. We called ahead a week early to request a crib—no problem, confirmed. We confirmed the crib at check-in. Yep, you’re set. No crib in the room. After 3 visits to the front desk, 5 phone calls blaming housekeeping, and no crib the first night, we were told they ran out. No effort to correct or even help improvise. The bellmen were nice enough, but didn’t recognize us 30 minutes later. They were nice to hold our bags after checkout, but it took a while to find someone when we wanted to pick them up again. The front desk gave us the bare minimum info, probably because it was somehow busy with a line every single time I walked by. I wanted to ask someone for advice on things to do, but no one was available. The lobby and complex are nice and impressive (easy to get lost), but the rooms are very standard and somewhat aged. WiFi is not free. Very convenient to the river walk, but somehow a 10 min walk from the closest good restaurants. I ordered a la carte at breakfast the first morning and overheard someone being told about the complimentary breakfast buffet. Found out the next morning that the buffet is $40+ per person after tax and tip. Appreciated the comfy beds and mini fridge with space for leftovers.

When I needed help, Shawntral was there in an instant. Her kindness and willingness to assist made all the difference. She didn’t just help—she went above and beyond, making me feel valued and heard. In a world where service can sometimes feel distant, Shawntral’s warmth and genuine care stood out. She turned a stressful situation into one where I felt supported. I am truly grateful for her incredible dedication.
