Courtyard by Marriott Winter Haven in Winter Haven, FL

What a lovely hotel! The staff were very friendly and customer-focused. The hotel was spotless, and we were delighted with our stay. I felt appreciated as a Marriott Bonvoy member. When in the Winter Haven area, we will definitely stay at this lovely property again.

Luke was AMAZING. There was an issue with my check in and he handled himself with grace and charm. He was the sweetest thing ever and went above and beyond for me. Even when my husband was not being the easiest to deal with. He is the best ever!!!!

Super Clean, and very restful. Staff was amazing. They went out of their way to book us a room after a delayed cruise. Luke is on staff and was incredibly helpful and kind in making our stay great!!! Amy at the Tampa marriott water st. spent 45 minutes calling all of the area hotels to find the nearest location to Tampa. Everything was booked because of a hurricane, but she located the Marriott Winter Haven and the stay was excellent. We are very thankful to have encountered Luke and Amy with Marriott Hotels.

The room was clean and quiet. Our bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. It was very close to Legoland for those visiting the park. Although we were just passing through to Wachula. The shower needed a little work as it had a leak that caused it to spray the ceiling while showering. But it had plenty of pressure and other than that, it was fine.

I'd rate the hotel 10 stars, based on the staff alone. I was forced to make an unplanned detour while on vacation in Florida, due to mandatory evacuations. I randomly chose Winter Haven as far enough inland for safety. The staff was so welcoming, very pleasant and professional. Based on how busy the hotel was while I was there, I am sure they experienced an influx of guests in my same situation, but handled the influx with grace and professionalism. Front Desk staff was there to answer my questions about the area - offering dining suggestions etc. Tishann, Ellie and the younger gentleman (whose name I can't recall) in particular were particularly gracious. The staff at the Bistro were very nice. Housekeeping were among the most pleasant I have encountered in my travels, always saying hi with a smile as you walk by. The hotel grounds and room were very clean. The Bistro served coffee, good breakfast and dinner food in an inviting environment. There is a small pool which overlooks a man-made lake. I did not get a chance to use this due to the weather. Location is very convenient to a number of restaurants, shopping and a Publix. I may never get back to Winter Haven, but if I do, this will be my choice of where to stay. Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the lake!
