2/7/2025 Customer Service Comfort Inn & Suites Dear Comfort Inn & Suites Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your Comfort Inn & Suites in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. While we have always enjoyed our stays at Choice Privileges properties, our experience at this location fell short of the standards we have come to expect. First, I would like to acknowledge that the room was clean, and the staff was friendly, professional, and respectful. Upon our arrival, the front desk clerk informed us that there was an issue with the hot water, but she assured us that they were working on the situation and provided us with the optimal time for hot water usage. I appreciated this communication and was understanding of the situation. However, shortly after checking in, we experienced several issues that significantly impacted our stay. After a long day of travel, I fell asleep quickly, while my wife stayed up longer. She noticed that the room was uncomfortably warm and tried to adjust the heat, but the unit was showing an error display and could not be adjusted. She refrained from calling the front desk to avoid disturbing me, as I was extremely tired and in need of rest. In addition to the temperature issue, my wife discovered a bug—what appeared to be a cockroach—scurrying across the top of the mini refrigerator. As I was already asleep, we did not feel it was appropriate to leave the room at that hour, so she turned on all the lights to discourage any further pests. She spent the rest of the night feeling uncomfortable and unable to sleep, while I was too exhausted to wake up and address the issue. The final issue was the complete lack of hot water the following morning. Despite the warning from the front desk, we had hoped to follow the suggested time for hot water use and were shocked to find that there was absolutely no hot water available at all, preventing us from taking showers before checking out. Considering the combination of these issues particularly the discomfort caused by the temperature control malfunction, the bug sighting, and the lack of hot water—I believe a full or partial refund would be appropriate for our stay. We did not receive the quality of service and comfort we expected from Comfort Inn & Suites, and I hope you will consider providing compensation for the inconvenience. No hot water! Problem was supposed to be fixed several times. I only asked for 25 bucks off for 2 nights and was told numerous times by front desk that I could not get any compensation. I asked for the general managers number, but they said no use to complain to her because it wouldn’t do any good and she wouldn’t answer.

Nice place to stay at close by beach. Will go back neat and clean. Nice beds. You should stay here and support. Rooms were clean and neat, breakfast was delicious. Water worked, heat, air conditioning, pool were nice and clean, outside area was nice and clean

i never got to go to this hotel. i made a reservation which was no cancelleation. i tried to call for several days and finally got through when they corrected the phone number on the website. choice customer service is in another country and useless. this hotel told me they could not change my reservation as a courtesy due to a family emergency i had, a three day difference. offered to pay a fee. what is this world coming to? i hope the manager doesnt have an emergency and be treated like that. a choice privilege member for years. will never ever make a reservation there again.

I was there with family and dog. Impression is that the property is generally well maintained and run, although there were a few quirks. Front desk staff tried hard to keep guests satisfied when problems were over their heads. Continental breakfast included a good selection of high-carb food plus the usual eggs and meat and yogurt. My only objections were costs. The fee for a dog is $30/night, which I found to be high, but not so high that it prevented me from staying there. However, I was disappointed to find an additional "hotel service fee" tagged onto my bill that was not mentioned when I priced the hotel, and I won't return to this hotel for that reason. I don't know how hotels can get away with advertising rates that exclude a hotel fee that is just an additional percentage of the hotel rate; seems sleazy.
