Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Chandler’s Restaurant & Lounge is located on-site at Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach. The restaurant offers a menu inspired by locally grown fresh products and features signature cocktails. Our first time visiting this hotel. Beautiful rooms and views, excellent customer service from everyone, and excellent location. Great bar and atmosphere. Very good breakfast and service from personable servers and bussers. We will back to this hotel.

Booked with AMEX The Hotel Collection package. It should come with the following 3 perks: Early check in at 12 noon (if available) Late check out up to 4 pm (if available) $100 F&B credit We arrived at noon and were not given a room until almost 3 pm on a Thursday. That’s okay since we want to explore the area in the afternoon anyway. So the night before we depart I asked the front desk the possibility of late check-out at 4 pm. Agent mentioned the hotel is not sold out the next day and it looked promising and advised to call 7 am departure morning. On the day of departure, I called the front desk at around 830 am and checked the possibility of late check out. Front desk agent was not aware of the “AMEX The Hotel Collection” perks and had to ask supervisor to confirm. The girl mentioned the latest is 1 pm due to availability and the hotel is about to sell out. She mentioned my room type (2 beds with ocean view balcony) is sold out. I sort of accepted that but came to find out Hilton App is still able to sell 2 rooms with the same room type. So I called back and spoke with front desk supervisor Deba. She mentioned she STILL cannot honor the late check out as Amex advertised (if room available) due to the fact the room might sell from then till 3 pm. And she extended a “COURTESY” late check out time of 1:30 pm. What a joke! To me, they honor their inventory more than their HH customer and tried to lie about their inventory to drive me away from the debate. WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS PROPERTY AGAIN.

The staff was GREAT! It was nice to be greeted by a friendly valet person upon arrival. He was cheerful and cordial Check in process was efficient and informative. The restaurant staff was FABULOUS......morning hostess from Pleasanton, Amanda, Joanne & Avery. I was disappointed that the hot tub was unavailable. Fortunately, my last morning, it was functioning. It was AMAZING.....enjoyed it with my morning coffee. Lastly, it was an added bonus to have a refrigerator & microwave in the room. Thank you for a wonderful stay! P.S. Thank you to the Gift Shop person. She was so gregarious & social.

The resort was really good. The room was spacious and comfy. We were able to get a view of the ocean from our room and it was beautiful. I liked that the bathroom was a shower with no tub and the room had a microwave. The best thing was Alfred the robot. He was adorable. Apt use of him and you should market him. He was excellent. Did not get a chance to use the hot tub. It was a bit small and was hogged by a bucnh of girls who refused get out. It should be time-bound. Loved the fire. There was a cold spell when we visited, so it was perfect to warm up in front of the fire. Not many vegetarian options was available at the restaurant though. I would like for you to provide some tips on tours and excursions that visitors can take. It was a great experience. Loved that we could walk across to the ocean.
