A comfortable desk and seating area are also featured in all rooms at the hotel. Select rooms offer balconies or patios with ocean views.

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Chandler’s Restaurant & Lounge is located on-site at Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach. The restaurant offers a menu inspired by locally grown fresh products and features signature cocktails. For convenience, an on-site fitness center and a business center with fax and photocopying services are available at the hotel.

The property is very nice. The rooms are nice however I couldn't find a note pad or posted notes on the desk. Pretty bare bones for a hotel that charges $35/Day in resort fees. I went there for a business meeting and didn't use any of their "resort amenities"

What a beautiful place to stay. Everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond for us, the room was spacious with a fantastic view of the ocean and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was relaxing also with a view of the ocean. I will be back to stay longer next time. Thank you Cape Rey in Carlsbad!!

Exceptional service from all the staff, especially Michelle and Deba. Wonderful beach side getaway with an excellent restaurant. Heated pool and very relaxing outdoor area. Great gym with lots of equipment. The onsite spa is very convenient and a great added touch.

Sadly, this hotel is in dire need of a renovation. It is a beautiful spot, but walking through the halls and rooms this trip was shocking to say the least. I can’t believe no one there takes enough pride in the property to paint over all the scuff marks, stains, and water stains lining the halls. This seems like a very easy maintenance opportunity to improve the look and feel of the property. I, unfortunately, was unable to get an adequately maintained room. I went to the front desk after going to my room and all 3 that I was offered were in really bad shape with significant maintenance issues leaving me quite disappointed that I had booked 3 nights instead of 1. I had assumed the property would be the same as it was during my last visit in June. I ended up staying in the initial room, only to later realize there was significant damage and staining under the entire window. I couldn’t sleep due to severe respiratory issues and allergies. I booked 3 nights and left after 1 due to health issues caused by the room, but the hotel refused to give me any money back. The manager wasn’t even apologetic or particularly nice. Even the robe in the closet had mold growing on it. I have recommended this hotel to so many people in the past, but this experience will certainly leave me warning people not to stay here.

Beautiful Restaurant and Pool area, but the rooms are a little dated. Checking in: Its a little weird there are no parking spots to check in. You need to coordinate with the valet. Beyond that the front staff gave me a pleasant greeting and the lobby is wonderful. Room: Nothing that stands out for the decor. My balcony could use a repaint but the view of the beach is so-so. There is highway between the hotel and the beach and the campground on the beach in front of the hotel doesn't scream beautiful. Bathroom: Only complaint, the shower grout and sink had a bit of mold and mildew. I only stayed to use my Hilton Aspire credit. It's not bad but not worth the price.
