So the visit got off to a bad start at the front desk where, for a family ticket for 4 we paid $262. Not exactly affordable but granted we were in a tourist area so I guess it’s to be expected. Next in the rip off agenda was $20 for a locker. Fair enough but it’s non-refundable which would have been nice given we’re now nearly $300 in and not even got wet. First up, lazy river. The limited amount of tubes were either poorly inflated, dirty or both. We managed to get some to ride the waterfall ride back down. Half of it was closed, the open part you either got stuck in or smashed your back on every section. Most rides had steps in each section which scraped your backside on the way down. This seems to be due to poor maintenance overall. If any ride meant you couldn’t wear hat/pool shoes/sunglasses you had to store them at the top, go down the ride then walk back up to collect belongings. The food area tables and chairs had seen better days. Might have been more hygienic to eat off the floor. Wave machine never came on? Broken?? Trying to look for positives, we finished the day with some dipping dots. But alas, despite being sold 2 x dipping dots, there were no spoons. The attendant reckoned she had no idea there were no spoons. Bugger me is that not her job? Safe to say, thanks Big Kahunas but hope to never see you again. Terrible.

I used to go to this park as a kid and thirty years later I still love it. I definitely recommend getting a cabana to get out of the sun/rain. If you don’t have little ones, get a cabana close to the wave pool. The food is expensive and the lines are long but you can get a stamp to leave and re-enter the park (Chick-fil-a within walking distance). You can’t bring food/water in but I brought a tumbler and filled up at the water fountains. Pavement is hot, bring water shoes!

Decided to load a few photos from our visit this year for anyone looking to go to The Big Kahuna. Be aware, there is zero effort to keep things safe or pleasant - literally just milking this cash cow until safety issues finally close them down. Honestly, it took more effort for me to type and post this than they've spent on maintenance for the putt-putt course. No water features, no paint, cracked greens, broken concrete and golf balls that get stuck in the features. If they're providing not effort here - are they attentive to the safety of their water park guests? It's amazing, really.

"Terrible, disgusting, and disrespectful"

My experience with this waterpark was terrible, one of the employees at the Destin Florida location by the name of Ella was so disrespectful and unprofessional. She cursed me and threw several f bombs, in front of several kids at that. I was threatened to be thrown out the water park for no reason at all. I reported the incident to the staff, the lead and also a manger, I had several witnesses, she was never reprimanded, except for moving her to another station. All I got in return was a simple sorry. This is not how paying customers are supposed to be treated, I’m very offended and upset that this matter was handled so poorly. I’ll never go back and tell every person I know to avoid this place at all costs!!!!
