"Poor check-in experience, archaic billing systems, decent hotel, good people"

Very poor check-in experience. I had reserved the room on a credit card. At the time of check-in I requested them to charge for the room on my corporate debit card. And I told Laudy at check-in that I will give another card for deposit/incidentals. It’s very standard, and I have been doing this seamlessly at all hotels globally for the past 3 years. However here I was charged twice on my debit card - one amount apparently as a hold (this was greater than the room tariff) PLUS the entire room tariff as a separate charge. Additionally, I had to pay a further amount as deposit for incidentals! They could not explain the reason except to say that the software is like this - that it’s not the standard Marriott system. @Marriott Hotels - why do you have this brand in your portfolio if you can’t provide consistency of experience?? Anyway, the room is good, clean and practical. The reception area is large and spacious but not very clean. People - While Laudy at check-in and the duty manager were polite, they didn’t have a clue why this happened, The lady from Accounting - Jenny was helpful, understood what had happened and hopefully will help sort this.

"Good location"

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great plenty of eating and shopping options. The rooms were large. The cleanliness was ok. The elevators were dirty and the lobby rugs have spots and need to cleaned. Breakfast was not complimentary and too expensive for what was offered.

"Great Place to Stay!!!"

The staff were very friendly,very pleasant and helpful. Clean rooms and fun atmosphere .All the Easton Town shopping was in walking distance right outside of the hotel. So much great shopping and many restaurants to choose from, again all on walking distance.I will stay there again!!!!👍👍👍

"Terrible Security and Unconcerned Management"

The rooms at Aloft Easton were okay, but our stay was ruined by a major smash-and-grab event that occurred overnight on 10/13/2024 – 10/14/2024. About a dozen or more cars, including ours, had their windows smashed in or had attempted break-ins in the hotel parking lot. To make matters worse, the hotel management showed zero concern for the safety of their guests. They offered no real assistance or compensation beyond waiving the early checkout fee after we insisted on leaving because we no longer felt safe staying there. The lack of empathy and failure to ensure proper security measures in their parking area is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here unless they seriously address their security issues. Cross-posted.

"Car break in"

Our vehicle was broken into last night. Windows were busted out and car was ransacked. Multiple other vehicles were hit as well. Hotel did not inform us that this happens frequently here. Easton security did not help. Had video, but wouldn’t share. Said it’s not their jurisdiction, only the garage is.
