View wild humpback whales and other diverse sea life in their natural habitat off Oahu's stunning Gold Coast. Relax on the all-new double-decker boat with wrap-around bow seating between whale sightings.

The tour begins with a powerful Hawaiian plumeria flower ceremony and chant, "E Ho Mai" to bring good fortune during the voyage. Enjoy some morning beverages and pastries. Then guests will cruise along Oahu's windward coastline, searching for humpback whales.

As guests begin to spot the whales, the crew will share information about their fascinating annual journey. The crew will drop a hydrophone into the water to hear the whales' songs over a state-of-the-art sound system if the tour gets close enough. Seeing whales up in person is an experience you will never forget!

On the way back you'll be entertained by the amazing crew. They'll perform authentic hula dances and songs. Don't miss an opportunity to see one of the world's largest animals in person during their migration through Hawaii!

Tour Itinerary:
  • Trolley pick-up begin with the brand NEW Trolley! (1st Tour 6:10AM/ 2nd Tour 11:35AM)
  • Arrive at Kewalo Boat Harbor, Pier D Gate 111
  • Board the Ariya II: The new ship, the Ariya II, has two decks, a state-of-the-art sound system and a titanic-style front railing for your comfortable viewing of Hawaii’s wild humpback whales!
  • "E Ho Mai" Ceremony, once onboard the staff will begin the boat ride by reciting a Hawaiian chant – a prayer to the gods of the sea for a safe trip with plentiful whale encounters
  • Local favorite snack (Morning Tour: Poi Mochi Donut from Liliha Bakery / Afternoon Tour: Musubi Platter from Iyasume Musubi)
  • Experience wild Humpback Whale Watching!
  • Listen to whale songs. If the whales we encounter are close enough, the crew will drop in the special underwater hydrophone microphone.
  • Crew will share information about local sea life, along with interesting information you might not know about humpback whales!

Please Note:
  • This schedule may be changed according to the weather, and holidays.
  • Whales are often spotted, and viewed from the boat, however there is no 100% guarantee of an encounter. In the instance where the weather is not ideal later in the day, or the minimum pax count of 10 guests is not met, guests must reschedule to another tour or be refunded.
  • Children under 2 years old are allowed with an adult supervision.

What are the hours of operation?

Office hours are 8 AM to 6:30 PM


Are there any age restrictions for this tour?

This tour is recommended for ages 2 and up. There are no maximum age limits. In the interest of safety, And You Creations is unable to take guests who are under 2 years at this time.


What should I bring?

They suggest having on hand the following items:

  • Flip flops 
  • A bathing suit 
  • A towel
  • Sunscreen
  • A rash shirt and/or swim shorts if you’re looking for more protection from the sun.  They also offer wetsuits for rent.
  • A light jacket
  • Cash or card for wetsuits or photo packages
  • Seasickness medication. You can pick up seasickness tablets cheaply from local drugstores, or, if you only ever experience very mild motion illness, ginger-based drinks can help stave it off. 
  • A waterproof camera.

Please try to limit your belongings to one bag per person for the sake of space onboard.

Is the attraction/tour/activity wheelchair accessible?

The tour is not wheelchair-friendly, and wheelchairs are not permitted on their bus transportation.

They have a ramp onto the boat, but it is only 19-inches wide and does not have railings.


Can I bring my camera?

You may bring your own camera on board at your own risk. They will capture your experience so that you can fully enjoy your tour without worrying about taking photos.

The tour offers professional photography and videography for an additional fee. The photo packages usually contain around 300 over- and underwater shots of everyone on board (aiming for at least 10 of each group), and the video is usually around 20 minutes long. The tour operator documents the experience from beginning to end.


How long is the tour?

Approximately 2.5 hours.


What if I can't swim well?

Their guides are great with guests of all abilities, and every guest is outfitted with a life vest to stay afloat. Some prior swimming and/or snorkeling is recommended for the best experience.

It’s best to let their guides know in advance if you would like extra attention or assistance while in the water.
